Power’s not exactly in abundance out here, but sunshine? Loads of it. A few solar lights later and the garden’s gone from pitch black to full-on fairy tale.

I’ve been following Vintage Vedette on the hunt for the perfect vintage Art Deco lamp for my cupboard – and she found it for me! Totally customised and absolutely perfect. Check out the BTS and follow her for one of a kind pieces. Just the way I like it.

The Spanish build their country homes in weird and wonderful ways most of the time and as a result we were stuck with this fuse box in our dining room. Am guessing it once was an outer wall? No idea. It’s all function over style. But with this simple hack, it’s out of view! Not perfect. But certainly much better.

Just popped up to my attic rug library (doesn’t everyone have one?) and decided it was time for a swap. Felt like giving the floor a bit of vintage drama.⁣

I’ve had this Art Deco cabinet - dating back to the 1920s - for years, originally from an old Dutch milk shop. The craftsmanship is incredible, built entirely without screws, with every piece slotting together like a puzzle. I had to repaint it (pain in the bum, so much detail!!) and decided to tone it down by using the same colour as the wall so the geometric texture would stand out without it all being too bulky. To say I am obsessed would be an understatement. I get giddy just looking at this cabinet. Truly love it. Many have tried to buy it from me but the answer has always been and will always be no. It’s a piece of history.

Just checked off a bucket list item: a stained glass workshop! Every moment was fantastic. Marieke (yes, same name!) from Het Glas Lab is an exceptional teacher - organised, clear, and well-equipped. The process was intricate, yet achievable. Now, my creation shines at home, and I’m pretty pleased with myself.

This table just about killed me but I now declare our garden ready for summer. Table doesn’t look half-bad and the deck is clean. PS Awesome outdoor rug is from Rozenkelim - made of recycled PET bottles.

Had the loveliest Japandi-style art workshop with my Insta buddies, hosted by the inspiring @oneofakindshe — been following them for ages and their handmade organic furniture is truly something else (go check it out). My own created artwork is a little less advanced 😅 but now shines quietly in my home.
